School of Health Professions Admissions
We prepare health professionals who are both culturally fluent and technically proficient.
Downstate's School of Health Professions comprises these six degree programs:
- Diagnostic Medical Imaging (B.S.)
- Medical Informatics (M.S.)
- Midwifery (M.S.)
- Occupational Therapy (M.S.)
- Physician Assistant (M.S.)
- Physical Therapy (B.S./DPT)
Application deadlines vary by program. After the Student Admissions Office receives your completed application, we will let you know whether we require more information, or will share it with the program.
If we need additional information to complete our review, you are responsible for returning the materials in a timely fashion. You will have access to a checklist indicating which materials are still outstanding.
Some applicants are selected to participate in an interview; dates and times vary, as do the number of interview slots that are available. If you do complete an interview, it may take 6-8 weeks to receive an admissions decision.
